Daniel Blomberg of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty Interviewed by OCA President Chris Long.   They discuss the issue of houses of worship being denied FEMA relief funding after the storm damage of Hurrican Sandy. Over 200 houses of worship were damaged or destroyed, including historic churches. HR 592 is legislation that will address this problem. It is currently being held up in the U.S. Senate. It has already passed the House.

D-Day Landing Prayer Act Reintroduction :

Congressman Bill Johnson of Ohio's 6th District will reintroduce The D-Day Landing Prayer Act this Memorial Day weekend 2013 which would "install in the area of the World War II Memorial in the District of Columbia a suitable plaque or an inscription with the words that President Franklin D. Roosevelt prayed with the Nation on June 6, 1944, the morning of D-Day."

Last session, HR 2070, The D-Day Landing Prayer Act, passed the U.S. House by a vote of 386-26.  The bill was not passed out of the Senate, so it must be reintroduced.  We are committed to seeing this Presidential historical prayer added to the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.
