Update from Ohio Statehouse on HB 7 and Election Reform Update
On today's News in Focus, OCA President Chris Long was joined by State Rep. Andy Thompson, Barry Sheets, and Heidi Huber to discuss the passage in the Ohio House of HB 7, the Student Safehaven Bill, allowing students to test out of the PARCC testing of Common Core.
In Part 2, we discuss an update on election reform in the State of Ohio. SOS Jon Husted is testifying before Congress on the problem of illegals receiving amnesty that allows them to receive social security numbers and photo ID's. They are not U.S. citizens. They are not eligible to vote. His office has sent a letter to the Obama Administration asking for real time database so that these individuals can be tracked and kept off the voter rolls in Ohio. |

David Prentice, Ph.D. Vice President and Research Director Dr. David A. Prentice is Vice President and Research Director for the Charlotte Lozier Institute. He is also Adjunct Professor of Molecular Genetics at the John Paul II Institute, The Catholic University of America and an Advisory Board Member for the Midwest Stem Cell Therapy Center, a unique comprehensive stem cell center in Kansas that he was instrumental in creating. Previously he served over 10 years as Senior Fellow for Life Sciences at the Family Research Council, and prior to that he spent almost 20 years as Professor of Life Sciences at Indiana State University, and Adjunct Professor of Medical and Molecular Genetics, Indiana University School of Medicine. |
