Forty years ago, on April 29, 1980, Christians gathered from all across America to humble themselves, fast and pray, and to intercede for America. It is estimated that nearly 500,000 attended this call to fasting and prayer on our nation's National Mall. There was a special anointing of unity in the Body of Christ at this event. On that day, America was at a low point. 102 of our fellow citizens were being held hostage by the Islamic State in Iran, the moral degradation of our country was taking its toll, and there was a sense among many that God was about to judge the land.
