The gentleman in the chair was captured and was a POW. The veteran standing on the left served in the Pacific and remembers well the LCS's that my Dad served on which were support vessels to landing craft and destroyers.

The Honor Flight program is a great project and worthy of our support. Let's say thanks to these WWII veterans while we still can.

This veteran was thankful for the appreciation that he and his fellow veterans were receiving, but expressed concern that our Vietnam veterans had gotten a bad rap and were deserving of our appreciation for their service, as well.

I told Senator Dole that I voted for him in 1996 when he ran for President. He said, "Well - you should have voted a few more times!" He still has his humor.
