The primary election is Tuesday, May 4th, and here are some points to remember as you are rallying your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family to the polls on Tuesday:

• Polls in Ohio will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Early voting continues Monday. In many counties, the early-voting locations are at the board of elections offices.

• To read a complete list of what's on the ballot, go to: http://www.sos.state.oh.us

• Voters should take a picture identification, such as an Ohio driver's license, or a copy of a utility bill, bank statement, government document, or paycheck with their name and current address.

• Ohio's primary is an “open primary,” meaning that voters may request a Republican or Democratic ballot no matter their previous political party affiliation.

• Voters may request an “issues only” ballot.
