D-Day Landing Prayer Act Reintroduction :

Congressman Bill Johnson of Ohio's 6th District will reintroduce The D-Day Landing Prayer Act this Memorial Day weekend 2013 which would "install in the area of the World War II Memorial in the District of Columbia a suitable plaque or an inscription with the words that President Franklin D. Roosevelt prayed with the Nation on June 6, 1944, the morning of D-Day."

Last session, HR 2070, The D-Day Landing Prayer Act, passed the U.S. House by a vote of 386-26. The bill was not passed out of the Senate, so it must be reintroduced. We are committed to seeing this Presidential historical prayer added to the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.
