Dr. Rev. Jerry Falwell has passed

Today, the Christian community is saddened by the passing of one of its great leaders, Dr. Rev. Jerry Falwell, who led the Moral Majority and encouraged Evangelical Christians to participate in the political process by electing to office candidates that reflect the views of people of faith. Dr. Falwell said on numerous occasions that Christians need to be involved by registering to vote and showing up at the polls, making their mark for the good of their communities and families.
Ohio Christian Alliance President Chris Long said the following, “Rev. Falwell helped rally Christians in America to become more engaged in the political process and defend the traditional values we hold dear. Whether it was standing up for the unborn or protecting the institution of marriage, Rev. Falwell was a thoughtful, articulate leader. While his passing is certainly a loss for our nation, I believe his legacy will last for generations to come.”
