FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, March 23, 2015 Akron, OH: Ohio's Heartbeat Bill H.B. 69 was reintroduced February 17 in the Ohio House of Representatives; lead sponsors are Representatives Ron Hood and Christina Hagan, along with fifty co-sponsors. Hearings have been conducted in the new Community and Family Advancement Committee.

OCA President Chris Long stated, "This legislative effort presents the best opportunity in the last four years to pass the Heartbeat Bill, protecting Ohio's unborn children.  We urge members of the Ohio Legislature to support H.B. 69, Ohio's Heartbeat Bill." 

"Ohio legislators are to protect the people of this state," said Paula Westwood, Executive Director Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati. "The Heartbeat Bill could protect ninety percent of the over 26,000 babies killed annually in Ohio by abortion on demand"
