Statehouse Swearing-in Ceremony of Secretary of State John Husted

This week at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, all of our statewide office holders took their oaths of office.  

Here is the oath of office that they each took - 

 I, , do solemnly swear to support
the Constitution of the United States,
and the Constitution of the State of Ohio,
and faithfully to discharge and perform
all of the duties incumbent upon me as
............,  according to the best of
my ability and understanding; and do this
as I shall answer to God.

As the Scriptures instruct us in I Timothy 2:1-3,  let us pray for those who serve us in public office. "....That we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; (vs 3)"
