"The Ohio Christian Alliance expects to distribute, in print and digitally, at least 1.2 million copies of its voters' guide,"  said the Rev. Chris Long, president of the Akron-based group. He hopes some Christians use the guide as they head to the voting booth.

"A lot of prayer has gone into this election," Long said. "I think there will be a lot of interest among Christians as we get closer to Election Day."

The guide explores where the presidential candidates stand on issues such as government funding of Planned Parenthood, building a wall on the nation's southern border and placing a hold on allowing Syrian refugees into the country. It also lets voters know where Ohio House and Senate candidates and Ohio-district U.S. House candidates stand on a number of issues.

"The Christians and clergy understand that religious liberty is under assault in this country," Long said. "For that reason alone, there's greater interest in this election than there has been in a long time."

Among the challenges, he said, is getting the Ohio candidates to respond to surveys....
