The Ohio Christian Alliance is ramping up for 2016

Ohio will be center stage in the 2016 Presidential Election. The March Primary in the key battle ground state is quickly approaching. The RNC Convention will be held in Cleveland this year in July, and value voters will play a key role in deciding who will be the next President. OCA will be active with church voter registration, surveying of candidates for the OCA voter guide, and conducting policy conferences and candidate forums to inform the general public of where candidates stand on religious liberties and individual rights of families and parents.

In April, OCA re-launched legislation to adopt voter photo ID for Ohio with a press conference and Statehouse Lobby Day.

After the SCOTUS decision in June on homosexual marriage, constitutional attorneys urged states to move forward with statute  legislation  to protect religious liberties back in the states. That's why OCA strongly supports H.B. 286, The Pastor's Protection Act,  introduced by State Representative Nino Vitale with 24 co-sponsors. The legislation had its first hearing on December 8th.

In August, OCA conducted the Ohio Pastors' Conference with over 350 pastors in attendance, briefing clergy on religious liberty protections.

The WWII Memorial Prayer Act, which will add the D-Day Landing Prayer at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C,. is progressing.  OCA is working with the Friends of the WWII Memorial and the U.S. Parks Service for its implementation and placement at the Memorial.  The prayer memorial's construction and placment will be paid for by private donations.

Ohio Christian Alliance Mission:

To inform Christians about timely issues and pending legislation
To speak for truth and morality in the public arena
To educate voters through voter guides, score cards, and candidate forums
To train Christian leaders for effective social and political action
To defend the legal rights of Christians against an ever-growing anti-Christian bias

"In a nation such as this where the people choose their leaders, if the Congress be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption."
- President James Garfield

"...God cannot sustain this free and blessed country, which we love and pray for, unless the Church will take a right ground. Politics are a part of religion in a country such as this, and Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God. God will bless or curse this country in accordance to the course Christians take in politics."
- Charles Finney
