Interview with retired Army General Mike Barbero as we discuss Iraq and the Iraqi Christian crisis and what can be done about it. Also joining me will be Joseph Kassab of the Iraqi Christian Advocacy Institute.

With ISIS on the advance in Iraq, it is urgent that we pray and lobby the State Department for the expediation of visa processing of Iraqi Christians who desire to come to the United States and the West, who cannot go back home and desire religious assylum.

OCA President Chris Long and Lt. General Mike Barbero were invited to a reception for President Masoud Barzani, Regional President of Kurdistan. The reception was hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Kurdish people have been giving refuge to Christians and other religious minorities fleeing the wrath of the Islamic State since last year.  Three million Kurds are hosting 1.4 million refugees since last summer.  A humanitarian crisis is looming. President Barzani was in Washington seeking a financial aid package to help with the care and aid of the refugees currently in Kurdish territory.

Chris Long thanked President Barzani personally for his generosity and kindness in giving aid to the Iraqi Christians that have gone to the Kurdish territory for safety.    UPDATE:  A letter from U.S. Senator Rob Portman and other U.S. Senators has been sent to Secretary of State John Kerry, urging action on the issue of visa processing for Iraqi Christians.
